what things have helped your daily life with fibromyalgia?
I have tried chiropractors, muscle relaxers, sleeping on the floor, elevating my legs, CPAP machines, Narcotics, All natural cleaners, air filters, and nothing seems to help.
What can you share with me and others?

education–and watching out for quackery–like most of teh cure ads that pop up on Yahoo Answers—–
for me–ice and bracing my joints–most people say heat
know taht it is a neuro disorder with no inflammtion when lookling for treatments
i really HATE it when people tie FMS tightly to emotional trauma-MANY people develop it after PHYCIAL trauma–like me–many people do NOT also have depression.
i am really doubtful that a chiropractor can treat FMS–as it its a problem with the brain–NOT the spine

OK first off, not all chiropractors are the same. Many times, I have found that fibromyalgia patients do not respond well to chiropractic adjustments.
Many times with fibromyalgia patients it is a combination of Biochemical ( either not enough of proper nutriotion or too many toxins) and emotional (most fibromyalgia patients have had some major emotional event occur within 6 months -2 years of fibro symptoms) and both of these can cause physcial pain. So unless you have someone looking at these aspects, you could completely miss the reason for the fibromyalgia. However, there are two chiropractic techniques that I have seen really good results with.
    1) Applied Kinesiology- This is a technique that looks at not only the structural aspect but the biochemical and emotional aspects.
    2) NET ( neuro-emotional technique)- This helps block the physiological responses to emotions that are affecting the body. You can find practitioners at http://www.netmindbody.com
My wife has received major help from both of these techniques. This is why I went and became a chiropractor and learned a lot about these techniques. The results can be amazing. I hope you can find someone in your area that practices these techniques.
I really wish you the best

I wish I had an answer. I live with this every day. The only thing I get relief from is narcotics. But I can’t find a doctor to give them to me. So I stay inactive and in the house most always due to pain.
